Statement of Faith

The following statement of faith articulates the core beliefs and doctrines of our church. It outlines fundamental theological principles, interpretations of the Bible, beliefs about God, Jesus Christ, salvation, and moral teachings.

It serves as a guide for members of the church community and defines the boundaries of the church's beliefs and practices.

Article 1: The Scripture

We affirm the Holy Scripture, consisting of the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, as the divinely revealed, verbally inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It stands as the sole source and foundation for doctrine and life within the church (John 10:35, 2 Tim. 3:15-17, 2 Pet. 1:20-21).

Article 2: The Trinity

We believe in the existence of one true God, the Triune God, who reveals Himself in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the Creator, the Son is the Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit is the Sanctifier. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and eternal (Deut. 6:4, Num. 6:22-27, Matt. 3:16-17; 28:19, 1 Cor. 8:5-6, 2 Cor. 13:14, Heb. 1:3, 1 Pet. 1:2).

Article 3: The Fall of Man

We acknowledge that humanity, created in the image of God, fell into sin through temptation by Satan. As a consequence of Adam's sin, all humanity is born sinful and separated from God (Ps. 51:5, Is. 53:6; Rom. 3:23, 5:12, 6:23, 7:18; 1 Cor. 2:14).

Article 4: The Gospel of Salvation

We embrace the gospel of salvation, wherein God, in His grace, offers total cleansing, forgiveness of sins, and imputed righteousness through the finished work of Jesus Christ. This salvation is freely offered to all who repent and believe in Jesus as Savior (John 1:12, 3:16, 5:24; Rom. 6:23, 10:9-10; Eph. 2:8-9, Gal. 5:1).

Article 5: The New Birth

We affirm the necessity of the new birth, facilitated by the Holy Spirit, whereby individuals are born into the Kingdom of God through the personal application of the message of salvation (John 3:5-8, 16:7-15; Titus 3:5, 1 Pet. 1:21-23).

Article 6: God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the Creator and sustainer of all things, who demonstrates His love through the reconciling work of His Son, Jesus Christ. He cares for His children, providing for their needs and guiding them with compassion (Gen. 1:1, Ps. 33:6-11, Acts 17:24-27, Rom. 11:33-36).

Article 7: God the Son (our Lord Jesus Christ)

We affirm Jesus Christ as true God and true man, born sinless of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for the sins of humanity, was resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and will return in power and glory (Is. 7:14, Mat. 1:23, Rom. 5:19, Gal. 4:4-5, Phil. 2:5-8, Heb. 4:15).

Article 8: God the Holy Spirit

We affirm the Holy Spirit as truly God, who regenerates believers, indwells them, sanctifies them, and guides the church into all truth (Acts 5:3-4, 1 Pet. 4:14, Jn. 14:26, 15:26, Acts 1:4, 2: 17, 2:33).

Article 9: Sanctification and Divine Healing

We believe in the sanctification of believers, divine healing, the unity of the church, the bodily resurrection, and the imminent return of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8, 1 Thess 5:23, Romans 6:1-14, Is. 53:4-5, Mat. 8:16-17, 1 Cor. 15:20-23, John 5:28-29, Hebrews 10:37, Luke 21:27, Titus 2:11-14).

Article 10: The Church

We believe the true church is comprised of all people who, through saving faith, are united in the Body of Christ--of which Jesus is the Head. (1 Cor. 12:13, Gal. 3:26-29, Eph. 2:14-18) and that every believer and every believing local congregation should reach out to the larger Body of Christ and visibly manifest the unity that is ours in Christ (Jn.17:20-23, Eph.4:1-6). The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. (Eph. 1:22-23, Acts 2;41-47)

Article 11: The Resurrection

We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. (1 Corinthians 15:20-23, John 5:28-29)

Article 12: The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and premillennial. This is the believer's blessed hope and is a vital truth that is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. (Hebrews 10:37, Luke 21:27, Titus 2:11-14)
