Why Community in the First Place?​

The Christian community extends far beyond gathering at a site known as "church"; it embodies the vibrant Body and Bride of Christ. Central to its vitality are healthy marriages and families, shaping and equipping individuals to carry the gospel forward. The scriptures contain numerous passages that emphasize the importance of community and relationships among believers. Below are some key scriptures about the Christian community:

• Hebrews 10:24-25: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

• 1 Corinthians 12:12-27: This passage compares the church to a body, with each believer being a different part of the body. It emphasizes the interconnectedness and importance of every member of the community.

• Acts 2:42-47: This passage describes the early Christian community, highlighting their devotion to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread together, and prayer.

• Romans 12:4-5: "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
